Board Care 101

Are you bored of boards yet? Don’t worry, neither are we. ;) We thought it was time to lay out some of our favorite boards for y’all and share some tips on how to keep them in tip top shape. We have a whole fleet of them (many not even pictured!) because, well, we make cheese boards a lot. That means we do a lot of dishes and are rotating through them often.

If you’re wanting to start your board collection, it can be overwhelming with the variety and costs. The great thing is that there is a board for every budget and size, and they’re getting easier to find all the time! Here are some tips and tricks that have helped us:

1. If you want to transport your boards to parties, gatherings or just anywhere, a lipped board is KEY. We love our lipped board from Target and use it all the time for delivering boards.

2. Round boards are fun to keep everything contained and organized. We also find round boards to be like playing tetris— everything has its place!

3. Not ready to invest? That’s totally okay. We source a majority of our boards from places like IKEA, Target, TJ MAXX, World Market and Nordstrom Rack. Ain’t no shame in the bargain game. You can still get some great quality boards at all those places!

4. If you are ready to invest, considering supporting local businesses and/or artisans. In San Antonio we love The Tiny Finch’s selection.
